SHEILAH DOWNS, SI LOWER HUTT, NZ writes:
"Angelika Harsant, a member from SI Linz in Austria told Chatliners a
while back about her proposed round the world cruise.

"Last week she was in Wellington for a day and Wellington and Lower Hutt Soroptimists entertained her and her husband Jean. In the morning she and Jean were taken to our lovely waterfront museum, Te Papa (it is Maori for 'Our Place') and were taken for lunch by Carla Campbel-Redl who has Austrian connections. Then one of Lower Hutt members, Vilma Riley, picked them up and brought them out to Lower Hutt for the afternoon. I met them after work and we had a lovely fun filled dinner together. At the end of this I presented Angelika with a Chatline Badge (not the new one I'm afraid, but one of my stock of the older, larger ones of which I am rather fond ).

"Around 10.00 p.m I delivered them back to their ship and at midnight they sailed for Picton.
"They seem to have been able to see quite a bit of NZ, visiting Christchurch and Picton in the South Island, Wellington, Auckland and the Bay of Islands in the North Island."
