Pesidents with the cake
"Both our Club Presidents and our Lady Mayor, plus the cake!!"

"The 23rd November 2005 was the 60th Anniversary of SI Bebington's Charter. We had a Birthday party in our civic centre to which local clubs were invited - 60 folk attended including 25 club members plus some past members, along with representatives from the 4 other SI clubs on the Wirral. Our Mother club Liverpool very generously gave us a lovely Visitor’s Book to mark the occasion.

On the photo left:"Glenda Bell, one of our senior members, thoroughly enjoying looking back at old club photos. On the right of the picture is our Charter plus a photograph of the original Charter Dinner held in the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight 23rd Nov 1945"

Below: "The beautiful cake Glenda made for us, fantastically iced, inside was a rich fruit cake – it tasted gorgeous too"
Special Cake

Cutting the cake
"Cutting the cake are our three Honorary members, Hazel, Hilda and Margaret who, between them, have over 140 years Soroptimist service!!"

"On doing some research in to our archives I've been interested to learn of the women, perhaps I should say ladies, who were our founders. They included Freda, Lady Leverhulme - they were certainly an intrepid bunch. We are lucky enough to have one founder member Miss Ida Gilmour, still living who is still a Soroptimist and lives in Belfast.

The VIP Table
"We were privileged to have the Mayor of Wirral and her consort as guests along with President of Rotary and his wife, President of Inner Wheel. Also on top table are Regional President Sue, Club Presidents Sandra and Joyce; while closest to the camera is our guest speaker, Ron Hutchinson, who was Chauffeur and P.A. to the late Lord Leverhulme"

"Having mentioned the Chatline on more than one occasion it was lovely to be able to take greetings from you to our party.
