"SIA held their Train the Trainers Event this past week. Those holding Federation Board positions and Governors and Governors-Elect plus headquarters staff arrived early in the week for meetings and training.

"Many members from throughout the Federation attended the event on Saturday for a full day of workshops and information including updates on our Federation headquarters, projects, reports, etc.

"A luncheon was held to honor those who won our major Federation awards Women's Opportunity Award, Violet Richardson Award and the Making a Difference for Women Award. Many clubs received awards for their achievements and successes.

"The day was completed with a lovely banquet honoring those who were retiring from serving on the Federation Board and those who were just coming on to the Board, including installing our new President Jean Barth and President-Elect, chatliner Tes Choa who will take office on September 1. All in all it was a delightful affair filled with a very full agenda.
