"Below is what will be put in our local paper with the picture:

"When Margaret Stableford, Soroptimist International of Harrogate & District, found that she had to have her fourth lot of chemotherapy for bowel cancer and that this time it was stronger and her hair was liable to fall out, she told some Soroptimist friends. The next thing she knew she had a packet arrive from Soroptimist International of SI Courtenay, Western Canada Region on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Inside were two of their 'No-Hair-Day' Chemo Soropti-caps and the pattern. The Courtenay Club knit them for their local cancer ward. They are knitted in a wool called 'Fizz'. To repay them Margaret looked for the wool here and found it in Knaresborough and Soroptimists and friends began knitting. The hats are so light and literally fizzy and fun. Richard, Margaret's MacMillan Nurse, asked the Dales Unit if they could use them and they said they would give them an alternative to wigs. The Harrogate Club now have great pleasure in presenting them to the Dales Unit."
