     WESTERN CANADA REGION CONFERENCE
April 2005

Susan Joyce & Deanna Hanks were invited to attend the Western Canada Region Conference. Susan participated in several activities.

Susan in Red Hat

On the photo right is Susan with her red hat on, leading one of the two workshops she did for the delegates on Recruitment/Retention/Extension.

Susan writes:   "I hosted a table at the World Café at the conference and told about the Chatline and how to subscribe.   That evening at the closing banquet we called everyone up for a photo who planned to join and included the current chatliners.   I'm sorry I don't have names for everyone but Governor Sharon is a member of the chatline and perhaps she will help us put names to the faces. "

Susan sent 'Before' and 'After' photos: one that shows current Chatliners and another with Chatliners recruited at the Conference

Susan writes further: "You will notice a variance in dress for the evening!   The theme that evening was the 10th anniversary of the Surrey/Delta club who hosted the conference.   They asked we come dressed as we would to a child's 10th birthday party.   Okay...why am I in a frilly dress?   Because when I was growing up that's what I wore to birthday parties of that age group.   And Margaret has an unusual amount of make up on her face because the table groupings chose a person to put kids makeup on like you would at a pajama party and they had a contest and as you can see by the photo, things really got super "creative" shall we say?   Margaret is third from left."
