Laxmi Parasuram sent 3 photos taken at a recent Chartering of a new Club in Calcutta. Laxmi described the administering of the Soroptimist Pledge:
" We, in South Kolkatah just had a Charter Ceremony with 20 members repeating the pledge read out by SIGBI President Ann Dawson. It was quite an awsome experience to the audience including spouses, guests and other sisters. We did not try out anything new. It was just like an oath-taking with the President reading out line by line and the members standing in a line and repeating. It was followed by each one being called by name and given a brief introduction and the President pinning the badge on each one followed by hand shakes."
