   SI LION'S HEAD/CHATLINE AIDS ORPHANS   

Soroptimists of SI Lion's Head arranged a special treat for the AIDS orphans and their Aunt, they were taken to the top of Table Mountain in the cable car.   They very much enjoyed this expedition.


In the cablecar
On the left below the cable car is the mountain called Lion's Head.

Iona writes:
"Aunt Nomgcobo, who is the carer of the two AIDS Orphans, turned 21 in March.   I approached a client who is a Director of the Table Mountain Cableway company for a donation of tickets for the ride in the Cable Car as a Birthday treat.   He was extremely generous and donated 8 tickets which enabled Nomakulu, the Social Worker and her family to join in the celebrations.

The photograph was taken by the photographer at the Cable Station as one departs from the Cable Station - its is for real, not superimposed.   The R300 from Jane Miles of SI Douglas was given to Nomgcobo as a Birthday gift."
