On the 15th of March 2004, the SI Club of Courtenay celebrated the Club's Diamond Anniversary.

Chatliner Hilary Hampton is formerly a member of SI Courtenay's English Friendship Link, SI Leamington and Warwick, and now of SI Angouleme in France.

Immediately after the Anniversary Celebration Margaret took Hilary on a tour around Vancouver Island, on returning back home Margaret writes:
"Touring with Hilary on Vancouver Island, we stopped at 'Cathedral Grove', a preserved section of virgin forest.
"See the photo of Hilary at the largest Douglas fir in the Grove.
"I had a great week with Hilary and saw her off to Galiano Island from Victoria yesterday."
