| JOANN'S VISIT TO SI AMERICAN CANYON

Joann Kelly (SI/Hobart, Tasmania, Federation of SI/South West Pacific) visited Susan Joyce and the recently chartered SI American Canyon Club.
Susan writes:
"Chatliners Joann Kelly from SI/Hobart, Tasmania and Susan Joyce, SI/American Canyon had the opportunity to meet each other because Joann was visiting a longtime friend close by. Joann had been on a trip where she attended her 50th high school class reunion in Corvallis, Oregon, then went to Las Vegas for another reunion of singers she once performed with when she lived in the Philippines and then on to California."
Susan writes about the above photo: "Joann Kelly, standing speaks to the members of SI/American Canyon, Founder Region, SI/A on September 16 and told the club about her life which is very exciting in and of itself, the many places she has lived and the various vocations she's held including owning two restaurants and working for the Tasmanian government. Joann was interesting, informative and entertaining. She posseses a wonderful sense of humor."
Of the above photo Susan writes:
"Susan Joyce presents Joann with a pin from the City of American Canyon and a variety of Soroptimist gifts including a History Book of Founder Region where Soroptimist began, a Soroptimist scarf, a Founder Region pin, and various other items.
"It was Joann's birthday that day and the club members sang Happy Birthday to Joann as well as presented her with a birthday cake that had a single candle on it, the figure of the Tasmanian devil!
"To the left of Susan in red, is Founder Region's chair of I.G.U., Maggie Kittyle who attended from SI/Dixon, CA. Soroptimists from three clubs were in attendance."

Joann presents Linda Tubb (center), President of SI/American Canyon with a flag banner from her club of SI/Hobart. The banner is now hanging on the wall of the restaurant where SI/American Canyon holds their meetings."
"After the club meeting Joann visited Susan Joyce and Deanna Hanks in their home in American Canyon for several hours and they continued Joann's birthday celebration at a restaurant that evening where Joann's friend joined them. Joann's friend Donna Soskol was her maid of honor in Joann's wedding party 45 years ago! It is hoped that Donna will soon be a member of a Soroptimist club in Founder Region."
