Naran & Joyce
A photo taken at the ESU Mongolia launch, where Joyce Troughton, President English-Speaking Union of New Zealand, first met Naran

Joyce Troughton wrote:
"Naran was a delightful person, who very hospitably invited Peter and I to join members of her Soroptimist branch at a special dinner in honour of some German Soroptimists and their husbands.   It was held at a very historic ger village outside of Ulaan Bataar."

From Gwendolen Webster (SI Aachen, Germany)

Gwenda sent these photos of Naran with captions that illustrate, not only the photos, but also Naran's personality.

When Naran takes aim
"When Naran took aim, she never missed her target"

Naran striding forward
"Even when Naran was striding forward, she was always checking to see that the others could keep up"

Nothing was too much trouble for Naran

"Nothing was too much trouble for Naran - even the impossible task of making Hansotto, the mildest and most benevolent of Soroptimisters, look like Ghenghis Khan."

Marlene Brooke sent this photo of Naran with Joan Banks at the Board Meeting before the 2003 International Convention in Sydney:

Maria-José Elias, SI Lisboa Sete Colinas, Portugal writes:

"Another photo of Naran at the Board meeting in Sydney, July 2003.   I had spoken to her as my club helped Bolor, and she explained to me that Duba (Bolor's mother ) didn't come to Sydney as her visa was not obtained in time."
