Sheilah Downs (SI Lower Hutt) writes:
"I have just returned home after a spending the day at our NZ Conference of
Clubs which we hold every two years.

"We are only 3 Regions in NZ with 28 clubs, so it is not often we all get together due to distances and cost of travel.
We had a great day today catching up with old friends and making new
ones. And one of the new ones will be known to some of you, especially
Kate. Her name is Laurie Swift from SI Burton on Trent."
Laurie is on the photo on the left. Not a good photo but the only one Sheilah had.
Sheilah wites further:
"She was born a
Kiwi but has lived in the UK for many years. She told me however that she
and her husband have just bought a house in Taupo and are returning here
to live. She was staying with New Plymouth Club and I know she brought
special greetings from Susie and Di to their Friendship Link. She also
gave us copies of the leaflet about the National Memorial Aboretum.

"I took most of the
photos over lunch, so you will see us doing what all good Soroptimists enjoy - eating and talking."

"It
is amazing what a small world it is and how the Chatline helps to bring us
closer together."
